its been a week since my last entry....eek

ive been looking and watching blythe dolls on ebay....and today i won my first doll

this pretty girl is on her way from hong kong....so excited. what should i name her?

Also, today is our favorite piano man's birthday. Happy Birthday Mikey!!!

dave and i are going to rush and make a piano cake to take to Clementine's (mike's weekend gig) and surprise him with it!! it was a spontaneous idea this morning. dave was sweet enough to bake the cake this afternoon while i was at work. ill post photoes later this evening.

also this week i ordered this:

so that i can cook somthing other than beans and rice for dave

this weekend is going to be busy working on house fixing up...maybe my tan...and some thrifting. ill post more later.

Gloomy

I wish it looked like this outside

(cool how the cloud is shaped like a heart ...I swear I didn't alter it)
but it doesn't. It's going to rain all weekend :( no sun for erin....is it so much to ask for some sunshine?

Tonight I have to bake cake and cupcakes for the castle graduation order due Saturday afternoon. Fun times!

Craft Box

This weekend while thrifting I found a large metal "port-a-file" style box for $5 at the Goodwill. It's one of the largest ones I've ever seen....so I bought it. The only problem it was that horrible shade of industrial office tan.

So a quick stop to the michael's....one can of robins egg blue spray paint and a brown paint pen.....and vóla cute craft box. Now all of my embroidery supplies are contained (and it matches the color of my walls)!

weekend

after a stressful week last week....working on this cake (4 tiered monster cake for my company's 25th birthday party)


it was nice to relax this weekend.

saturday morning, after sending dave off to his final, i went to my favorite haunts....michael's and the goodwill store. i was hunting for crafting supplies...mainly embroidery supplies....and vintage sheets and fun thrifted stuff to re purpose. there were so many treasures at goodwill....but i restrained myself to a vintage pillowcase (which will most likely end up in a quilt) and large metal file box...which i will paint and use for craft supplies.

i started embroidering on tea towel this weekend...something i haven't done since i was a kid. the embroidery pattern is from
