DIY Paper Roses

k...so on monday (wow i didnt realize that was the last time i posted something) i showed you a picture of a rose and gave you the hint that it was not a real rose. well....its not. i made this rose from a tutorial on martha stewarts website. the tutorial is from Cassie Chappell the woman behind Mommy Makes Roses. this woman is just plain brilliant. she makes beautiful paper flowers out of coffee filter cones!

anywho, i decided to print the template off of martha's site and try it for myself. there is a video in that link that will take you step-by-step through the process. the video moves kind of fast....so when you actually go to make a rose you will probably have to pause and catch up several times. if you dont get it the first time try-try-again. it took me about an hour and a half to finish assembling my first rose (this does not include the time it took me to cut out all the petals). this DIY has a higher difficulty level...dont get discouraged....it was hard for me and i make paper flowers all the time.
